About Queen of the Castle Festival
Our Story
Welcome to the Queen of the Castle Festival – where history, music, and celebration come together in the heart of Cahir, Co. Tipperary!
Founded in 2024 by Rathkeevin Macra, our festival takes place every August Bank Holiday Weekend and has already made its mark as an international event with a local soul. With Cahir Castle as our backdrop, we celebrate women, community, and culture in a way that’s vibrant, uplifting, and unforgettable.
From live music and arts to inspiring talks, family fun, and plenty of good food, Queen of the Castle is more than just a festival – it’s a chance to come together, make memories, and honour the incredible power and creativity of women.
